Extreme weather of 2009-2010

The weather as we know it has been nothing but extreme. This year alone we have witnessed and reported tornadoes, dangerous  heat, massive flooding, severe weather, and even earthquakes! From the North to the South, and to the East to the West, we have witnessed all phenomena above. Tonight we're going to be focusing on the Northeast. The Northeast, in particular, has normal seasons. It will usually have it's fall, winter, spring, and summer. Temperatures will drop well below freezing in the winter, whereas the temperatures will spike into the 80's in the summer. A lot of factors are starting to boil over and take place, causing our atmosphere to change dramatically. The weather is coming in ever so abnormal, with temperatures spiking well over the 100's in some parts of the Northeast. And that's without a heat index to add on to that! So how do we handle this? Well, there are plenty of ways to keep cool. There is also keeping informed about the weather around you. Rare occurances are not becoming so rare anymore. The Northeast has had at least 3 reported tornadoes; possibly more. The winter was intense with a blizzard taking place in the big apple. (NYC) Also the temperatures boiling over the 100's. A much intense hurricane season is expected to take place in the later months along with a rare winter to follow. Stay tuned to TWE for more information on extreme weather!
