Meteorology: My take on it.

I'm going to start with the basics before I get in depth. Meteorology is the study of the atmosphere and it's atmospheric phenomena. There are several branches of Meteorology in which I can't name considering I just hopped on the wagon myself. I've had a passion for weather for as long as I can remember. What used to be a fear of thunderstorms, tornadoes, and hurricanes transformed into a beautiful passion. I feel like I've done myself a considerable amount of justice studying a lot about the atmosphere this summer. I feel confident in my work and I know my wishes and demands to continue to persue this informative career path. I watch the Meteorologists on TV all the time and I zone into a whole new world. My main priority is to keep people safe. You can never stop the inevitable from ever happening, but you can be prepared for when it occurs. My main goal is to prepare our people by informing them, reassuring them, and getting them through the storm around the clock! As they say, the weather never sleeps!

This is my main motive. I have to save lives and channeling that through Meteorology is what I wish to do in life. I'm not going to let little bumps and bruises shake me up. I've let it happen in the past, but it isn't happening anymore. I'm stronger than that and that's what we need as a Meteorologist. I strong willed..., determined individual willing to risk their lives in the biggest of extremes to save a life. I should now get into what this whole subject means to me and how far I'm willing to go to achieve my biggest dream. I've mentioned previously that I've been into the weather ever since I was maybe seven years of age. I have great support from my family and friends who are there to back me up 100% on whatever decision I make. My biggest decision was etching it in stone. I know what I want and I will go to the ends of the rope to get there. I have simple difficulties in retaining information and holding onto some subjects but my determination will make me better at it. I will always have in my mind that I'm going to save someones life someday by making an accurate forecast, or covering live for a tropical storm. I have my role models in which I look up to from The Weather Channel. I always have and I always will. Think of it this way. Where there is a will, there is a way. Always have that mind set when it comes to what you want. Things change, but you don't have to. Just because people around you are not making something of themselves, it doesn't mean you have to follow suit. I'm going to make a difference in the world someday, one way or another!
